ASTACALA underwent “Menjemput Harimau Jawa” (fetching Java Tiger) Expedition
BANDUNG, Telkom University – ASTACALA, Student Activity Unit of Telkom University together with 50 participants of nature-lover all over Indonesia underwent 2018 Nature-lover Expedition of “Fetching Java Tiger” held in National Park (TN) Ujung Kulon for 15 days starting Sunday (24 June 2018) until Sunday (8 July 2018).

Fetching is doing something about something that already exists. Therefore, to fetch the Java tiger is held to respond and convince the public about the existence of Java tiger which according to some sources is convinced to exist, not only in Ujung Kulon National Park, “said Moh. Hariono in his speech.
“We must work professionally, by providing absolute data about the existence of Java tigers. Hopefully at the next expedition in Gunung Payung, Cibunar can meet and can prove the existence of Java tiger. Though it is said to be extinct, but we must do the proofing with significant data. Because so far there has been no photos and videos that proofing the existence Java tigers, “he continued.
“Although the participants come from various backgrounds of scientific discipline, but all participants are members of nature-lover. In addition to the form of nature-lover advocate toward Java tiger, this activity is a devotion and responsibility of nature-lover to the role of Indonesia nature-lover in KSDAE, “he added and applauded by participants.
50 participants of nature-lover across Indonesia were selected after passing the expedition terms and condition. The organizers of the activities are managed jointly between; Yayasan ASTACALA, KAPPALA Indonesia, Caring for Java Carnivor (KPJ), PMPA – ASTACALA Telkom University, SANGGABUANA Association, Indonesian Forum for Environment (WALHI), MAPALASKA UIN Sunan Kalijaga, KPLH RANITA, UIN Syarif Hidayatullah, BINGKAI Indonesia, Lesksa Ganesha Yogyakarta, JATAM, and SABHAWANA Alumni Association.
