BANDUNG, Telkom University – A total of 8,036 new students at Telkom University for the Academic Year of 2022/2023 have carried out the Introduction to Campus Life for New Students (PKKMB) 2022, which took place on 12 September 2022 and closed with the Senate Session for Admission of New Students for the 2022/2023 Academic Year. On Friday (23/9).

At the 2022/2023 New Student Senate session, the chairman of the Telkom University senate, Dr. Ismail, inaugurated 8,036 new students consisting of Doctoral students, Master’s, bachelor’s, Applied bachelor’s, and Associate Experts.

Telkom University Academic Director, Citra Kusuma Dewi, Ph.D reported that new Telkom University students came from all over Indonesia, from Sabang to Merauke.

“We need to report that there are 32 new Tel-U students from the western tip of Indonesia, namely Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam, and 27 students from Papua. It adds to the cultural diversity that exists at Telkom University and increases tolerance at Tel-U.” Obviously.

Citra also reports that the three youngest new students at Telkom University are currently 16 years old, namely Nadin Farah Pradipa, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Elisabeth Trivana Sipayung, Faculty of Economics and Business, Management S1 Study Program, and Najwa Fajar from the Faculty of Creative Industries. Fine Arts Studies.

“Welcome to all new students at the best private campuses in Indonesia. You are the best one who managed to get rid of more than 100 thousand applicants from Sabang to Merauke. By joining Telkom University, the Tel-U family is getting bigger, with a total of 32 thousand students.” he said.

Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, advised all new students that to become a strong generation, they must be problem solvers for their surroundings, have self-management and leadership, and update on technological developments.

“A student must be able to solve problems in the community and around him, have leadership that can work with others. Then, as a technology-based campus, Tel-U students must be able to update on technological developments and generate ideas and innovations. Best for the benefit of society.” he said.

Prof. Adiwijaya expressed his gratitude to the parents/guardians who have entrusted their sons and daughters to study at Telkom University.

“Thank you to parents/guardians who have entrusted their sons and daughters to study at Tel-U. Hopefully, we can together make our children become better future leaders. Then to new Tel-U students, congratulations on studying at Tel-U. Welcome to higher education. God willing, we will meet again in 3.5 or 4 years at your graduation ceremony.”
