Collective Juncture 2016 Introduced Tel-U Foreign Students’ Masterpiece

BANDUNG, TEL-U – School of Creative Industries Telkom University (FIK Tel-U) staged back the exhibition of lecturers and students at the event named Collective Juncture. The exhibition was held in Indonesia Menggugat Building (GIM), at Perintis Kemerdekaan Street, Bandung.

The exhibition was organized by foreign students all around the world who engaged in Darmasiswa program at Textile Craft and Fashion Studies Program FIK Telkom University on the last 1 year. This exhibition was a series and close event of Darmasiswa Program.

“Previously, on the first semester, the exhibition held in campus, but on the second semester, we go outside to introduce the work of students to public,” said the Head of Textile Craft and Fashion Studies Program, Arumsari Arini, S.Ds., M.Ds in the opening of Collective Juncture on Friday (18/3).

The reason for choosing Indonesia Menggugat Building is to bring more noticeably Indonesia and the nuance of Bandung.

The event, which held from 18 to 22 March 2016, was opened by the Dean from School of Creative Industries Dr. Ir. Agus Achmad Suhendra, MT. According to him, the exhibition at FIK became an integral part of the academic process. “Because through the exhibition, we able show off the students and lecturers’ work to achieve the vision of an outstanding faculty,” he said.

Agus expect to continue and develop this event properly, as well as lecturer and student can enhance their interaction to create a good academic atmosphere. (Purel / AW)
