Telkom University Officially Launch The Thematic Cultural Community Service Program

BANDUNG, Telkom University – The Thematic Cultural Community Service Program (KKN) is held again. This program focuses on the artistic side, where this Cultural Thematic KKN collaborates with the Sumedang Larang Palace and will take place in the Even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year.

At the Online Launching of the Thematic Cultural Community Service Program on Thursday (20/1), the head of the Cultural Thematic KKN, Citra Kusuma Dewi. Ph.D. said that this activity would be open to all Telkom University students and lecturers as student supervisors.

“The Registration for KKN Program has been opened from January 20 to  27, 2022. There are four programs in this activity, including branding activity programs, visual documentation programs, digitization and innovation in the Sumedang Larang palace motif design, and the Sumedang Larang palace motif design program. The Geusan Ulun cultural community,” he said.

The presenter at this event is the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of the Republic of Indonesia (Menparekraf RI), Dr. Sandiaga S. Uno. He advised all students who will participate in this Cultural Thematic KKN activity. There is 3G that must be done. The first is to be “Gercep” (Fast Movement) and move quickly to develop and develop their potential. “Second, we must move together, collaborate and join hands to be able to take advantage of the cultural potential of the Indonesian nation. Then the “gaspol,” which means working on all potential online, continues to create new jobs, continues to innovate and pour creative ideas that are owned by the younger generation,” he said.

To elevate tourism in Indonesia, Dr. Sandi said it must be packaged with innovation and education, which is strengthened through storytelling, interactively conveying Indonesian culture through pictures, videos, music, props, and even websites and applications.

“I hope that those who take part in this KKN can develop cultural elements well through innovation and storytelling. Hopefully, we can produce young innovators to be able to generate the economy for the nation and create new jobs for the Indonesian people,” he said.

Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Adiwijaya, said that the Cultural Thematic Community Service Program was a form of mutual concern in preserving the culture of the Indonesian nation.

“This is a form of our service (Tel-U) to the community outside the campus, as well as an MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Merdeka Campus) activity, where the knowledge gained by students on campus can be implemented directly in the community,” he said.

Prof. Adiwijaya hopes that this Cultural Thematic KKN activity can raise the awareness of the Indonesian people towards the culture that exists in this nation.

“Hopefully, this activity can inspire all people to continue to preserve the nation’s culture so that they can provide the best for the people of Indonesia,” he said.

In addition, also present as a speaker, Rd. Luky Djohari Soemawilaga (King of Anom Sumedang Larang Palace) and student of the Faculty of Creative Industries at Telkom University M. Daffa Yudhistira who is the Jajaka Pinilih of Bandung Regency 2021.
