P2A Virtual Journey 2020: Involve Three Universities Discussing Green Growth and Eco-Innovation

Telkom University – International Office (IO) Telkom University held a P2A Virtual Journey 2020 Green Growth and Eco-Innovation in collaboration with two other universities, namely the Islamic University of Indonesia (UII) and Mapua University from the Philippines. The Opening Ceremony of this activity officially took place on Monday (7/9) through the online meeting application Zoom.
The Rectors of each university gave a speech for the participants who joined this program. As expressed by the Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, that this program will provide insight into Green Growth and Eco-Innovation to around 50 participants.
“I represent the academic community of Tel-U, very happy to welcome all colleagues to join this program for the next two weeks. Here we will discuss environmentally-friendly innovation to make the world a better place. At Tel-U, we have Water & Waste Management to process organic waste into compost. That’s one of them, “said Adiwijaya.
“Our responsibility is to apply and provide appropriate skills for students to be able to face the challenges of today. Basically,, every generation has different challenges. This program is a small step, for you to be ready to become a global generation, “said the Chancellor of the Islamic University of Indonesia, Prof. Fathul Wahid.
Meanwhile, President & CEO of Mapua University, Dr. Reynaldo B.Vea said they would focus on sustainable development goals (SDGs), including Water cleanliness & sanitation, clean and affordable energy, economic growth, finally responsible for production and consumption.
This program will last until the end of September, divided into 7 sessions. At each session, the participants will attend a public lecture whose discussion focuses on the topic of Green Growth and Eco-Innovation with speakers from the three universities who are different for each session.
In the last session, the participants will present ideas and innovative designs made during this program to be implemented into a larger project and open collaboration for participants from various countries.
