TIP ON Event Involve 30 Global Partner Companies

BANDUNG, Telkom University – Telkom University is an educational institution committed to becoming a world-class university that plays an active role in developing information technology-based science and provides quality educational services. In 2020 Telkom University was selected to be the First Community Lab Telecom Infra Project (TIP CL) in Southeast Asia and the 14th in the world, supported by Operators, GSMA, International TIP, and Kominfo to accelerate the “Making Indonesia 4.0” Program.

One of the programs run by TIP Community Lab is to provide knowledge and experience related to Open Network technology and disaggregated, to be known by the industrial ecosystem, professionals, and academics. So on 11 and 12 July 2022, TIP held the first TIP-ON (Open Network) Event 2022 in Southeast Asia and was officially opened by Dr. Ir. Ismail MT as Director General of Resources and Equipment of Post and Information Technology Ministry of communication and information RI, Rizal Akbar VP Network/IT Strategy Technology Architecture Telkom Indonesia representing CTO Telkom Indonesia Herlan Wijanarko, and Rector of Telkom University Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya.

To introduce this Open Network solution, TIP CL TELU involved 30 global partner companies, including GSMA, Parallel Wireless, Baicells, GCI, Mavenir, HFCL, Ceragon, Amdocs, EdgeCore, Athonet, Murata, Mitac, Rittal, Redhat, IBM, HP Enterprise, Spirent, Comba, Ciena, Techbros, ALITA, KCCTech, APJII, Telkom Infra, IP Infusion, 4.0 Smart Industry, Train4Best, TIP Academy, Netco, Open Compute, Project, AICOMS, INACOS, Bandung Techno Park, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, and the Faculty of Informatics Telkom University which was attended from various countries including Romania, Australia, Singapore, India, and Malaysia.

Rector of Telkom University, Prof. Dr. Adiwijaya, said, TIP-ON EVENT 2022 facilitates every audience who comes to visit the exhibition from partners and the Telkom University Research Center, TIP Community Lab Tour, using Open Wifi which is life for the first time in Indonesia.

“Hopefully this activity can inspire the participants, so that together we can realize “Making Indonesia 4.0,”.” said Prof. Adiwijaya.
